Research Interests

Since 1987, Dr. Buskin has focused on infectious diseases, including hepatitis and tuberculosis, but especially HIV. She works at Public Health Seattle and King County as a Senior Epidemiologist and welcomes thesis and doctoral seeking students to consider doing HIV analyses with her. She is looking at why people continue to experience premature morbidity and mortality due to HIV in the HAART era. In addition to HIV/AIDS she is interested in other and overlapping infectious diseases such as hepatitis and TB.
