Bio

Our research interests focus on exposures to endocrine disrupting chemicals such as phthalates and bisphenol A and their impact on childhood development. Public concern regarding these chemicals has risen in recent years and demands current research that addresses mechanisms of action and impact on health outcomes. We have ongoing pregnancy cohort and childhood epidemiologic studies. As a pediatric environmental health specialist and member of the University of Washington Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit, I also conduct consults on environmental health exposures and childhood health impacts. I also practice general pediatrics at Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington Newborn Nursery.

Research Interests

Environmental Endocrine Disruptors, Pediatric Environmental Health, Reproductive Toxicology, Birth defectsMy research interests focus on in utero and early life exposures to endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDC) and their impact on child reproductive development.
