As a PhD student, I am passionate about exploring the intricate relationship between vaccination behaviors, equitable distribution of resources, and social determinants of health. I have taken coursework in categorical data analysis, research methods for social and contextual determinants of health, epidemic modeling for infectious diseases, and cost-effectiveness analyses to further enhance my unique blend of academic rigor and practical experience.
Professionally, I worked for almost 10 years in public and community health settings. I am a current graduate research assistant at UW Health Promotion Research Center, where I support various projects related to evaluating chronic disease and cancer prevention programs across WA state. Previously, I worked as a program manager and a disease research and intervention specialist at Public Health – Seattle & King County, where I coordinated community vaccination events, conducted contact tracing, and facilitated linkages to testing and other resources for COVID-19 cases and contacts.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Washington.
