Gregory Zane is an infectious disease epidemiologist, PhD candidate in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Washington, and an NIH/NIAID Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Predoctoral Fellow. He received a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at the University of Washington in 2020 and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from The Ohio State University in 2018. Prior to joining the PhD program, Gregory worked on public health evaluation projects in the U.S. and southern Africa and most recently served as the lead Outbreak Systems Epidemiologist and WA Notify Epidemiologist for the Washington State Department of Health’s COVID-19 response. His research interests focus on evaluating the real-world impacts of vaccines and applying multidisciplinary approaches to improve HIV and STI prevention. Gregory’s dissertation centers on evaluating population-level prevention strategies for Chlamydia trachomatis infections.
