Anshu Poudel earned her BS in Public Health from San Francisco State University. She is passionate about using epidemiological methods and machine learning to tackle health inequities, especially in HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, and substance use. She is drawn to the way data can tell human stories and spark real change in communities. At UW, Anshu looks forward to learning in a program that values both methodological rigor and strong community partnerships. Outside of research, she has been involved in health promotion, harm reduction, and sexual health advocacy. She was born in Nepal and is very connected to her culture. In her free time, she likes reading, listening to Ghazal music, and watching old Bollywood movies.
