Ananya Iyengar is a PhD student in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Washington-Seattle. She is interested in infectious disease epidemiology in global LMICs, reducing transmission of vaccine-preventable illnesses, improving healthcare access, and drugs and therapeutics development. She received a Master of Science in Public Health in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from SUNY - Stony Brook. Previously, she was an ORISE fellow in the Global Immunization Division of the US Centers for Disease Control, performing data and policy analysis supporting the CDC’s work as part of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. She also previously worked as a fellow at UNICEF HQ’s Immunization Division throughout 2022 and 2023, as well as at the Johns Hopkins International Vaccine Access Center and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.
