Bio

Dr. Megan Suter is an epidemiologist at the Washington State Department of Health. She serves as the principal investigator for the Health Youth Survey, a school-based survey that measures the well-being, health, and behaviors of adolescents in Washington State. Prior to working for Washington State, Dr. Suter completed a postdoctoral fellowship in applied epidemiology at Public Health - Seattle & King County where she worked on projects related to firearm injury surveillance and housing insecurity. She completed her masters and doctoral training in epidemiology at the University of Washington in Seattle. Her graduate research focused on the impacts of environmental toxicants on child health and development. Dr. Suter has a passion for mentoring public health students and is happy to talk about pursuing graduate school or careers in public health practice.
