In particular, her research focuses on cardiovascular risk among older women and on risk factors associated with incident and recurrent venous thromboembolism, including deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. She is interested in a wide variety of risk factors, including physical activity and sedentary behavior, endogenous and exogenous hormones, medications, and more.
Dr. Harrington has given guest lectures in several Epi Department courses, including EPI 591 (Departmental Journal Club), EPI 583 (Epi Seminar), and EPI 519 (Cardiovascular Epidemiology).
