Summer Intern – Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Global Value Access: HEOR Early Pipeline

Summary: 

Intern would lead a project utilizing our medical/pharmacy claims and/or electronic health records (EHR) datasets to conduct one or more HEOR studies. Topics for the project likely to include burden of illness and treatment patterns but will be finalized prior to internship start date. The project will be aimed at supporting HEOR evidence generation for SeaGen early pipeline.    

Responsibilities:  

  • Design and execute rigorous HEOR study using approved methods. Students are encouraged to explore this opportunity to develop new methods as well when appropriate
  • Lead project from proposal and protocol writing to executing the research and presenting results internally and externally  

Potential projects include: 

  • Endometrial RWD study on treatment patterns and unmet need
  • MDS RWD study on treatment patterns and unmet need
  • RWE dashboard 

Qualifications:  

  • Current HEOR or Public Health PhD student with preferably medical (PharmD, MD, etc) or economics background 
  • Experience working with claims and/or electronic health records databases
  • Statistical coding experience, preferably with SAS 
  • Strong communication skills, specifically being able to communicate complex HEOR concepts to a wide range of audiences 
  • Ability to work independently but also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders when needed to get cross functional alignment and expert feedback as necessary 

 

Note: This is an onsite, paid internship. This position is open to all students legally authorized to work in the United States. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for internships. While housing is not provided by Seagen, we make every effort to connect fellow interns to arrange for joint housing and ride sharing.

The hiring pay range for this position is $20 to $32 per hour based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role.
