Yilda Macias is an aspiring cancer epidemiologist, PhD student in Epidemiology, NCI predoctoral fellow in the Developing Data-Driven Cancer Researchers (3DCR) training program, and Professional Support Specialist with the Greenlee Studies Group at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Behavior and Health Promotion from New Mexico State University. Her research focuses on complex hormonal and metabolic disturbances, with a special focus on underdiagnosed and underrepresented conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and their long-term health impacts on chronic diseases like hormone-related cancers and type 2 diabetes. Yilda is committed to advancing cancer prevention and control through comprehensive and interdisciplinary data-driven public health strategies.
