Research Interests

Dr. Colombara is a Human Services Data Scientist at Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) with the Assessment, Policy Development and Evaluation Unit (APDE). In this role, he develops and maintains open-source R packages that automate epidemiological analyses and builds data pipelines to streamline analytical workflows. He also conducts surveillance and evaluation studies using vital statistics, survey data, and linked administrative datasets to assess population health and the impact of social determinants like housing. In an earlier role, he served as an evaluator for global health interventions and contributed to the Global Burden of Disease project. He thoroughly enjoys meeting and working with students.
