About

Rosa Weyula earned her MBChB from the University of Nairobi School of Medicine in Kenya. She is passionate about using epidemiological methods and data-driven research to address health challenges, particularly cardiometabolic diseases, multimorbidity, and the intersection of infectious and noncommunicable diseases. She currently works as a Research Assistant at the START Center at the University of Washington, supporting public health research and global health initiatives. Previously, she worked with the CREATE Public Health Project in Kenya, a research partnership focused on improving care for people living with cardiometabolic diseases and multiple chronic conditions. Her experience spans clinical medicine, global health research, and implementation science, with a particular interest in translating research evidence into effective interventions and strengthening health systems in low- and middle-income countries. At UW, Rosa looks forward to deepening her expertise in epidemiology, exploring clinical trials, and collaborating on research that advances health equity. Originally from Kenya, she enjoys exploring new places, spending time outdoors, and discovering new interests in her free time.
