About

Wendy Wandile Dlamini is a third-year PhD candidate in the Department of Epidemiology and a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Global Health. Originally from Eswatini, she holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Her research interest is in investigating the causal pathways at the intersection of HIV/AIDS and non-communicable diseases. This focus is deeply motivated by the health challenges in her home country, Eswatini – which has the highest HIV prevalence globally – as well as the African continent, where the burden of HIV/AIDS remains substantial.
