The Department of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at the University of Washington (UW) invites applications from transformational leaders to become its new Department Chair and Professor with Tenure. The Chair will support the Department’s mission of providing rigorous training in the fundamentals and practice of epidemiology and improving public health through excellence in research and public health practice. The search committee is seeking a Chair with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the background and passion to build upon our strengths, and with the vision to lead a department where our work informs, advocates for, and promotes concrete action to improve public health.

The search remains open to interested candidates with a priority deadline of January 1, 2024, and the search committee welcomes input from all members of the Department of Epidemiology community to identify the best candidate to guide the Department through its next phase of transformation and growth. The search committee will use suggestions from you to inform recruitment and outreach efforts. Please complete this anonymous survey to share your suggestions.

As the search progresses, updates will be periodically posted here including details on future events and job talks. To contact the Advisory Search Committee, please email Charlotte Hentges, Search Manager, at johnsc94@uw.edu
