Research Interests
Dr. Jarvik is a Professor of Medicine and Genome Sciences, and an Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Washington. She is an internist and clinical medical geneticist, and is active in the field of biomedical ethics. Dr. Jarvik specializes in the mathematical genetics of complexly inherited human disease. She does highly collaborative theoretical and applied work in the genetic etiology of cardiovascular disease, dementia and intellectual function, and cancer using careful attention to biology. Dr. Jarvik is actively investigating the implementation of genomics in clinical care.
