Requires qualifications comparable to those for appointment to the corresponding professorial rank. These appointments recognize the professional contributions of those whose principal employment responsibilities lie outside the colleges or schools of the University. Affiliate faculty make substantial contributions to the Department of Epidemiology’s programs by working with faculty and offer unique opportunities for teaching and mentoring, research and service collaboration. Affiliate faculty in the Department of Epidemiology usually have advanced training in epidemiology.
